The Bistro
The bistro opens for breakfast at 5am. Not 6, not on weekdays only. 5am, every day, because our long stay crews head out at 5:30 and somebody has to feed them.
That single fact turns out to be useful to almost everybody. If you are catching the Gordon River cruise from Strahan you are on the road early. If you are riding, you want to be out at first light. If you are doing parkrun at the golf club, 9am is comfortable when you have already eaten.
Beyond breakfast it is a straightforward, well run bistro: hearty traditional fare, some chef's signature dishes, and lighter meals for when you do not want a full plate.
It is fully licensed, with Tasmanian and other wines, beers, spirits and cocktails. Room service is available for all meals if you would rather not come down.

Breakfast opens at 5am, every day
The returning shift eats around 7:30am, so the kitchen runs right through the early morning rather than opening in a narrow window.

The rooms are a short walk from the dining room, and breakfast starts at 5am.
