Trial Harbour
Trial Harbour is 30 minutes from Zeehan and it is the place to go when you want to see what the Southern Ocean does to a coastline that has nothing protecting it.

It was once the port serving the Zeehan mines, and there is very little left of that now beyond a scattering of shacks and the remains of the infrastructure.
On a rough day the swell here is genuinely startling, and it arrives having crossed thousands of kilometres of open water. On a calm day it is one of the most peaceful places on this coast.
There is nothing there in the way of services. That is the point, and it is also why you should fill up and eat before you go.
Stay the night at the Heemskirk
Half an hour out, and the closest bed with a kitchen attached.
